Two adult sisters caused a major scene at the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport in Abuja on Sunday after a heated argument led to one of them collapsing. The Nigeria Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA) spokesperson, Michael Achimugu, confirmed the airport incident on his social media account.

The altercation began after the sisters, both booked on a NG EAGLE flight, missed their departure because they arrived late. Tensions flared, reportedly after one sister blamed the other for their tardiness.

What started as a verbal dispute quickly turned physical inside the terminal building. The sisters engaged in a fight, scattering luggage and other items in the process.

Airport Security Intervenes

Airport security personnel intervened, dragging the combative sisters to an interrogation office to de-escalate the situation. However, the conflict reignited inside the office, leading to one of the sisters fainting.

As detailed in the complete version, there are several key factors to consider.

Calls were immediately made for an ambulance to transport the unconscious woman to a hospital. In a surprising turn, her sister refused the medical assistance, insisting the situation was “more spiritual than medical.”

Despite this objection, the fainted sister was taken to the Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria (FAAN) clinic. She is currently receiving medical attention there. Achimugu expressed his hope for her recovery, stating, “This is not how things should be,” in his summary of the unfortunate airport incident. The event highlights the extreme tensions that can arise from travel disruptions, turning a simple delay into a dramatic airport incident.
