Red Cross: 13 Hostages in ‘OK Condition’ for IDF Transfer

The International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) has confirmed the successful transfer of 13 Israeli hostages released by Hamas. A senior ICRC official stated the group collected the individuals from southern Gaza and is now transporting them to Israel Defense Forces (IDF) custody.

The official reported the freed hostages are “in OK condition” and that the convoy is actively moving. According to IDF sources, the handover from Hamas operatives occurred in Khan Younis, located in the southern Gaza Strip, earlier this morning.

Hostages Transported to IDF
The identified hostages include Elkana Bohbot, Avinatan Or, Yosef-Haim Ohana, Evyatar David, Rom Braslavski, Segev Kalfon, Nimrod Cohen, Maxim Herkin, Eitan Horn, Matan Zangauker, Bar Kuperstein, David Cunio, and Ariel Cunio. The Red Cross convoy is currently moving the group to IDF troops stationed inside the Gaza enclave.

From there, Israeli forces will escort them out of Gaza to a military facility near Re’im. At this location, the freed hostages will receive initial physical and psychological evaluations. This process is a critical first step before they can be reunited with their families.

A Significant Milestone Reached
The ICRC official indicated the handover to the IDF would occur after an approximately 15-minute ride, confirming simply, “We are moving.” This transfer marks a significant moment. With today’s release, Hamas is no longer holding any living Israeli hostages.
