Prominent labour activist and Secretary of the Joint Action Front (JAF), Comrade Abiodun Aremu, has died. The tragic incident occurred on Sunday, October 12, 2025, in Ota, Ogun State.

Reports confirm a vehicle knocked down the 65-year-old activist while he was crossing the road near his residence around 6 p.m. First responders rushed him to a nearby hospital. Medical personnel immediately administered oxygen in a vigorous attempt to save his life. Despite these efforts, doctors later confirmed Comrade Abiodun Aremu dead.

Burial Date Shifted to Accommodate Labour Movement
