Johannesburg-Zanzibar Flights Launch in June 2026

Airlink, Southern Africa’s leading airline, will launch a new route connecting Johannesburg and Zanzibar starting in June 2026. Tickets for the new service are now available for purchase.

The flight schedule is designed to facilitate smooth connections for travelers from across South Africa and the wider SADC region.

Flight Schedule and Aircraft

The new Airlink route will be operated twice weekly using the airline’s modern Embraer E195-E2 aircraft. This jet can accommodate up to 136 passengers. Flights will commence on June 3, 2026.

Flight 4Z 010 will depart Johannesburg on Wednesdays and Sundays at 12:00, arriving in Zanzibar at 16:35. The return service, Flight 4Z 011, will leave Zanzibar on Mondays and Thursdays at 12:00, landing in Johannesburg at 14:55.
