Gang Attacks Boksburg High, Stabs Grade 9 Learner

The Gauteng Department of Education (GDE) has strongly condemned the violent stabbing of a Grade 9 learner at Boksburg High School in Ekurhuleni. The incident occurred on Thursday, 23 October 2025, when a group of approximately eight boys allegedly jumped the school fence. They gained access to the premises and attacked the learner, stabbing him during the altercation.

Another Incident Under Investigation

In a separate case, the GDE is investigating a disturbing video from Christian Progressive College in Pretoria. The footage, which circulated on social media, shows a girl learner being physically and verbally assaulted by a boy learner on Monday, 20 October 2025. Psychosocial support will be provided to the victim and all affected learners.
